According to available information, on December 5, around 21:00, a silver Mercedes-Benz vehicle struck a 46-year-old man who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. After the incident, instead of providing assistance, the driver placed the injured man in the back seat of his car, drove around the roundabout, and left in an unknown direction on I. Razakova Street.
On the morning of December 6, around 09:30, the man's body was found on the roadside.
Employees of the Batken Department of Internal Affairs, using data from the surveillance cameras of the Operational Situation Center, were able to identify the driver and his vehicle. The suspect, 26-year-old N. A., was detained at an auto parts market in Batken.
The detainee is currently in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing.
