The accident occurred on December 7 at 19:45 on Orozbekov Street, on the Osh—Batken—Razakov highway.
According to reports, the driver of the "Daewoo Tico," N.D., was traveling from north to south when he collided with the "Ford" pickup, which had entered the oncoming lane.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the "Daewoo Tico," N.D., and his passengers—38-year-old H.N. and 16-year-old Y.M. (husband and wife, and their daughter)—were killed.
Five children of the deceased were left without parents.
Later it became known that the driver of the pickup, who is a police officer, was detained on the same day. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against him under Article 312, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning violations of traffic safety rules while in a state of intoxication.
