According to law enforcement agencies, on January 9, 2026, at 16:30, a report was received at the duty station that an unknown individual had stolen a red "Volkswagen Golf-2" with the license plate 08KG524 from the territory of the Western garages in the Jayil district and had fled the crime scene.
In connection with the incident, all units were directed to search for the car thief. During operational activities, officers of the Jayil District Internal Affairs Department and the traffic safety unit managed to detain the suspect on the hot trail — citizen A. A. B., born in 1988.
The detained individual was taken to the investigative department of the Jayil District Internal Affairs Department for further investigation and necessary procedural measures.
