A man suspected of large-scale car fraud has been detained in the Chuy region, reports the press service of the regional police department.
According to law enforcement agencies, on March 26, 2025, a citizen named S.S., born in 1987, approached the police department of the Alamudun district. He stated that a man named M. had deceitfully obtained three cars from him in 2024: a 2018 Toyota Hilux for 23,000 US dollars, a 2003 Honda Stream for 7,000 US dollars, and a 2018 Hyundai Sonata for 15,000 US dollars, as well as 20,000 US dollars in cash, promising to pay with construction concrete. This man is currently on the run.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In August 2025, the investigative authorities of the Alamudun district police department decided to charge a citizen named B.M. as a defendant. The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of in absentia arrest, after which he was declared wanted.
During operational-search activities, the whereabouts of the wanted B.M., born in 1988, were established. He was detained in accordance with the provisions of Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other crimes that may have been committed by the detainee.
