
A man suspected of large-scale fraud related to cars has been detained in the Chuy region, reports the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the region.
On March 26, 2025, a citizen S.S. approached the Internal Affairs Department of the Alamudun district with a complaint against a man named M. He claimed that in 2024, M. deceitfully took possession of several vehicles: a 2018 Toyota Hilux worth $23,000, a 2003 Honda Stream for $7,000, a 2018 Hyundai Sonata valued at $15,000, as well as $20,000 in cash. The fraudster promised to pay with construction concrete but ultimately disappeared.
Based on this information, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In August 2025, the investigative authorities of the Alamudun district decided to charge B.M. as a defendant. A measure of restraint in the form of arrest in absentia was chosen for him, and he was declared wanted.
As a result of operational search activities, the whereabouts of B.M. were established, and he was detained. The man has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other possible crimes committed by the detainee. The investigation continues.
