A person suspected of fraud related to the sale of an apartment was detained in the Issyk-Ata district, according to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region.
According to reports, on December 11, 2025, a resident named S.R., born in 1995, filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Ata district about the criminal actions of a man named N., who posted an advertisement for the sale of an apartment on the "Lalafon" platform in March 2025. After negotiations, the parties reached an agreement for the purchase, and S.R. transferred N. a sum of 1,050,000 soms in the city of Kant.
However, after receiving the money, N. refused to either transfer the apartment to the buyer or return the money.
This incident was recorded, resulting in a criminal case being initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Police officers identified the suspect N.N., born in 1987, and detained him in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the apartment is registered in the name of N.N.'s mother. Furthermore, it became known that he did not intend to return the money and planned to relist the apartment for sale.
The investigation is ongoing.
