In the Chui region, law enforcement officers detained a suspect in a car theft, as reported by the press service of the regional police department. According to available information, on December 15, 2025, a local resident reported to the police station of the Jayil district that his green "Mazda 121" car had been stolen while parked near his home on E. Alybaev Street in the village of Kalinino.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of operational search activities, police officers were able to locate and detain the stolen vehicle in the area of the Sosnovsky turn in the city of Kara-Balta, with a citizen born in 2004 behind the wheel.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility. During the investigation, it was also revealed that he may be involved in two other thefts that occurred earlier in the territory of the village of Kalinino. Criminal cases have also been initiated regarding these incidents.
