After registering the report, an investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene. It was established that around 00:50, a resident of the village of Dmitrievka, N. A., born in 2010, was riding his bicycle to the city of Kant to meet friends. He was moving from east to west when a truck following behind him moved onto the third lane closer to the shoulder and struck the cyclist, who was riding along the edge of the roadway.
Unfortunately, the teenager succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated in accordance with Article 312 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning violations of traffic safety rules and the operation of vehicles.
As a result of operational measures, it was established that the accident involved a red SHACMAN truck, driven by R. B., born in 1995, a resident of the village of Krasnaya Rechka. The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
