On December 23, around 21:00, a woman was killed in an apartment on Bokonbaeva Street in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. This was reported by the press service of the city's Main Internal Affairs Department.
The 102 service of the Main Internal Affairs Department received a report about the incident, after which an investigative-operational group from the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials established that a conflict between the former spouses escalated into gunfire.
According to preliminary data, after the divorce, a verbal argument arose between 45-year-old U.J. and 46-year-old U.B., during which the man used a registered traumatic pistol MP-79. The woman died at the scene from her injuries.
The investigative department of the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department has initiated a criminal case for murder. The suspect was promptly detained by police officers and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Main Internal Affairs Department.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
