Alexander Stubb, the President of Finland, made a statement that the global liberal order is coming to an end.

In his opinion, liberal principles are giving way to a multipolar struggle, in which developing countries are beginning to set new rules for the global arrangement. "We are in an era of disorder. The liberal order that emerged after World War II is now in decline," Stubb asserts in his article for Foreign Affairs.

The President of Finland noted that "opportunistic agreements" are becoming more important than adherence to international norms. He also highlighted three sides in global politics: the "global West," the "global East," and the "global South." Stubb believes that a new world order will be established in the next 5-10 years.
