Nurdana Oruntaev, the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, made a statement about the current situation with the Old Bishkek project.

In an interview that took place on the "Kabar" channel, the minister noted that recently Kamchybek Tashiev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State Committee for National Security, conducted an inspection of the construction process. During this inspection, serious violations were identified.

“We discovered technical deficiencies, and they will be addressed. The main issues concerned the road and the building under construction. The road has indeed not been widened, so a decision was made to expand it. Additionally, the third floor of the building will be demolished, and it will become a two-story structure. All directives will be implemented,” Oruntaev reported.

It is worth noting that the section of Chuy Avenue from Abdrahmanov Street to Shopokov Street was closed in May of this year for the construction of an underground passage as part of the Old Bishkek project.

During the inspection conducted by Tashiev, a number of violations were identified, and Nariman Tyuleev, the project manager, committed to addressing them. It is expected that the road for vehicle traffic will be opened on December 12.
