He noted that buildings constructed in the 60s and 70s have already served their lifespan of 50 to 70 years and require renewal.
“These facilities need renovation, and we have developed an appropriate program. Now we are waiting for the new composition of the Jogorku Kenesh to start its work so that we can present it for consideration,” the minister added.
It is worth reminding that the intentions to implement the renovation program in Bishkek became known at the beginning of 2025. The Ministry of Construction emphasizes that the development of the capital and the renewal of the housing stock are extremely important; however, available land plots for new construction are almost exhausted.
