He reminded that previously the height of buildings constructed by private companies did not exceed 27 stories. One such building is located on Aitmatov Avenue. However, the government has now decided to change its approach to construction standards in the country.
According to Talantbek, there was previously uncertainty in making such decisions. With the arrival of Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, the state began to take active steps. "It was previously believed that private enterprises manage better, while the state was stuck in bureaucracy. Now, however, state structures are taking steps towards effective management," he noted.
The Deputy Minister also reported that one of the first projects is a residential complex on Dostoevsky Street, where all seismic resistance calculations have already been completed.
"The construction of the 40-story building on Dostoevsky Street has already begun. Our ministry has conducted the necessary seismic resistance calculations and granted permission for construction. We can build buildings taller than 40 stories; the maximum height can reach 50-55 stories. The conditions in our region are similar to those in Tajikistan. I saw a presentation about a 55-story building in Dushanbe, where the seismic zone is rated at 9 points, just like ours. Architects from a foreign company conducted calculations that confirmed the feasibility of constructing such a facility. I wondered why this is possible in Tajikistan but not here. We should not compare ourselves to more developed countries, but in our region, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, we are on the same wavelength. We have conducted all necessary calculations and are ready to oversee the quality of construction of the 40-story building under the supervision of the Ministry of Construction," he added.
It is worth noting that on November 24, the construction of a residential complex began, which includes 35- and 40-story buildings. The complex will be located at the intersection of Dostoevsky and Ankara Streets; this is a new project by the State Mortgage Company.
