- Good afternoon, Sadyr Nurgozhoevich! In a recent conversation with our agency, you mentioned that Habibulla, who is building a five-star hotel on the site of the "Naryn" restaurant, is also constructing a mosque for the people of Kyrgyzstan. This project has raised many questions among our readers, especially those interested in religion: "What does this mosque represent? Are there personal interests behind it?"
- Hello! This will be more than just a mosque; a madrasah is planned to be opened next to it. Children will be able to live there, receive an education, and study religious disciplines.
The number of directions in Islam has now increased to 10-15, and among them, there are destructive ones. Kyrgyz people often argue about whose interpretation is correct. We strive to organize these disagreements and reach a consensus. It is important to raise religious literacy; this is necessary for our state.
Previously, young people went abroad for religious education, but due to a lack of control, some of them could fall under negative influence. Now we intend to educate children up to 18 years old at home, guiding them on the right path. Graduates of the madrasah will be able to continue their studies at the Islamic Academy in Tokmok.
These steps are aimed at creating a unified system of religious education in the country.
There are about four thousand mosques in Kyrgyzstan, and imams trained in madrasahs and academies will be appointed to them. This will help reduce conflicts and decrease the influence of erroneous trends.
The state will provide the necessary support.
Habibulla will manage his hotel as a separate business, and the mosque is his gift to the people. There is no need to divide investors into "right" and "wrong" or criticize them; on the contrary, we should create comfortable working conditions for them.
He could have limited himself to just the hotel, but on his own initiative, he is building a mosque for several thousand people, including a madrasah and a dormitory. There is no personal benefit in this.
Upon completion of the construction, he will fully transfer the mosque to the Kyrgyz side and has promised to support it in the future.
