In his recent address to the public, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that attempts to disrupt order in the country have no chance of success.
He pointed out that some groups, which lost their financial sources after the crackdown on corrupt practices, are using bloggers and provocateurs to spread false information in order to incite discontent among the people.
“Who are these groups? They are those who were detained for serious corruption cases and, according to court decisions, have already transferred significant amounts or property to the state budget; those whose shadow schemes have been dismantled and who have lost their income; as well as those who, upon leaving their positions, seek revenge for selfish reasons. In general, these are people who are embittered for their own benefit,” the president noted.
Japarov also gave an example of a conversation with one such individual, whom he and Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich met recently. “We told him directly: ‘Almazbek Atambayev did not call you a “jackal” and “vulture” for nothing,’” he added.
“We urged him to live peacefully, raise his grandchildren, and stay at home. However, he has not changed,” the president continued.
According to him, these groups are again raising old issues about houses built by unscrupulous companies such as “KG Group” and “Ikhsan,” and are trying to present them as low-quality.
“We are on the path to completing work on these houses: we are legalizing them and connecting them to the power grid. It will take time to resolve the remaining issues, but everything will be completed. Therefore, there is no need to expect chaos. There will be no coups,” Japarov stated.
“First of all, we will not allow a situation that could lead to a coup. Secondly, the previously weak state is a thing of the past. Now our state has become strong,” he emphasized.
“Thirdly, the people are already well aware of whom to support and who should be in power. From now on, coups will only be in your dreams. Let looting, robbery, and greedy aspirations for power remain only in your fantasies,” the president concluded.
