According to him, the ministry is working together with the city administration to create a renovation project.
The Deputy Minister noted that at the beginning of the year, Minister Nurdin Oruntaev raised the issue of renovation due to the aging housing stock and the decrease in the number of plots. "The foundations of houses built in the 1940s have settled, and in the event of an earthquake, they may become unstable. We are developing a project in collaboration with the Bishkek city administration. Although such a system has already been implemented in Astana and Almaty, it has not yet been realized there. Work has also begun in Moscow, but the active phase has not yet started," he added.
He also reassured citizens, stating that no one will be left without housing during the construction of new homes. A new building will be erected on a vacant plot next to the old building.
"People have started to panic, fearing that they will be evicted and left without a roof over their heads. This is not the case. For example, the old house will not be demolished immediately. First, the plot will be cleared for the construction of the new house, and residents will be relocated there," the Deputy Minister explained.
He gave an example: if a person had an apartment of 30 square meters, then in the new building it will be 40 square meters. After relocation, the old house will be demolished, and a new one will be built in its place. Thus, the renovation will take place in stages to ensure that citizens are not left without housing," he noted.
