
A medical city is planned to be built in Bishkek, with the start date set for 2026. This was announced by Erkin Checheybaev, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, in an interview with the Kabar agency.
According to the minister, the ministry is currently exploring various financing options and analyzing proposals from potential investors. Checheybaev also dispelled public concerns regarding the complete relocation of all hospitals in the capital to the new medical city.

Additionally, Checheybaev added that family medical centers and other institutions will also continue to operate in their current locations, ensuring access to medical care for the population of Bishkek.

According to him, the medical city project is of great importance for the entire country, as it will treat patients with severe illnesses requiring highly qualified medical assistance.
