A meeting took place in France between a delegation from the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, led by Erkin Checheybaev, and representatives of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance of France. The main focus was on issues of cooperation in the field of medical infrastructure. The ministry's press service reported that the central point of the discussion was the project for the creation of a new medical complex in Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health presented the concept of the medical complex, which envisions the establishment of a modern integrated facility. It will provide a full range of medical services, from diagnosis and treatment to maintenance, operation, and training of specialists in accordance with international standards. Possible financing models and ways for French organizations to participate in the project were also discussed.
During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the French experience in designing and managing medical institutions. Options for technical cooperation were considered, including the exchange of experts and consultations on the implementation of modern management and engineering solutions.
Representatives of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in France participated in the discussions. The French side was represented by Fanny Labart, Deputy Director for Economic Relations and Partnerships, and Marten Folliasson, Deputy Head of the Direct Export Financing Department.
As a result of the negotiations, both sides expressed interest in continuing the dialogue and agreed on further expertise of financial and technical proposals, which will allow for determining the best format for cooperation in modernizing the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan.
