Kyrgyzstan Strengthens Cooperation with WHO in the Field of Digital Health and AI

In Copenhagen, during the 75th session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe, an important meeting took place between the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Erkin Checheybaev, and David Novillo, Advisor on Digital Health at the WHO European Regional Office.

During the discussions, the participants confirmed that Kyrgyzstan is committed to actively implementing initiatives for the development of artificial intelligence and digital solutions in the healthcare system, which will enhance the efficiency and quality of medical care.

Among the topics discussed were opportunities for further cooperation and capacity building in the field of digital health and AI, including the creation of a regulatory framework for the safe application of digital technologies in medicine, as well as the exchange of best practices with other countries in the WHO European region to accelerate the digitalization of healthcare.

The parties expressed their interest in deepening partnerships and implementing joint projects.

WHO confirmed its readiness to support Kyrgyzstan's national priorities in the field of digital health. Minister Erkin Checheybaev noted that this cooperation is another step towards creating a modern, sustainable, and patient-centered healthcare system in the country.
