Ministry of Construction on Renovation: No One Will Be Left on the Street

In the broadcast of the program "Elden Sobol" by the Kabar agency, the Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Talant Imanakun uulu, shared information about the upcoming launch of renovation in the capital. According to the deputy minister, the renovation initiative was raised by Minister Nurdana Oruntaev at the beginning of the year. "The situation requires action. The area of free land in Bishkek is decreasing, while the population continues to grow. Buildings constructed in the 1940s have already begun to settle, and in the event of a strong earthquake, they could become dangerous," he noted.

Imanakun uulu also emphasized that the Ministry of Construction is working with the city administration on renovation projects, similar processes are taking place in cities like Astana and Moscow. "It is important to reassure people: new houses will be built nearby, and residents will be able to move into them. Old buildings will not be demolished until all residents have been relocated. After that, the construction of new facilities will begin in their place, and the process will continue sequentially. No one will be left on the street," he added.

Additionally, the deputy minister reported on the ongoing public discussions regarding the renovation project. "The general plan for the city of Bishkek has been expanded, and the actual renovation process will only begin after its official approval," concluded Imanakun uulu.
