The Minister of Health, Erkin Checheybaev, stated in an interview with the news agency "Kabar" that starting from April 2026, the salaries of medical workers in Kyrgyzstan will be increased by 50 percent.

According to the minister, this increase will affect not only doctors but all workers in the healthcare sector.

Currently, the average salary of medical workers is about 23,000 soms, and after the increase, it will be in the range of 35-36 thousand soms. Doctors with extensive experience working in the regions are promised a salary increase to 100,000 soms, added Erkin Checheybaev.
