The document was signed by the Minister of Health Chinburen Zhigjidsuren, the Chairman of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of Mongolia Narantuya Chagnaa, and the President of the Association of Private Healthcare Organizations of Mongolia Zorigoo Shagdar, highlighting the mutual readiness of the parties to strengthen the human resources capacity in the healthcare sector and ensure the sustainable development of this sector.
According to the agreement, a phased increase in salaries for doctors and healthcare workers will be implemented. In accordance with the government decree, it is planned that the salary scales for the categories "Public Service - Healthcare," "Public Service - Specialists," and "Public Service" will gradually increase to ₮3,000,000 by the end of 2026, according to the following schedule:
- Increase of 30% starting January 1, 2026.
- Increase of 9% starting August 1, 2026.
- Increase of 9% starting September 1, 2026.
- Increase of 9% starting October 1, 2026.
- Increase of 9% starting November 1, 2026.
- Increase of 9% starting December 1, 2026.
Starting January 1, 2027, the base salary will be increased to ₮3,500,000.
The Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of Mongolia noted that the overall increase in the base salary by 75 percent within one year is a historic achievement that contributes to enhancing the professional status and social protection of healthcare workers in Mongolia.
