At the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Council of the Mongolian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers (MPRZ) held on November 4, a decision to strike was officially adopted. The Council emphasized that despite repeated appeals to the authorities demanding an increase in the base salary to 3.5 million tugriks, no concrete measures have been taken. In this regard, the union announced the start of a labor dispute in accordance with Article 25.1.2 of the Labor Law and will continue its strike.
The Council plans to send an official notification of its decision to the Ministry of Health. According to the legislation, the strike will begin five working days after the receipt of this notification, which corresponds to the date of November 13, 2025.
