The Minister of Health, Erkin Checheybaev, reported that preventive measures in the field of cardiovascular diseases can significantly reduce mortality rates. According to him, these diseases are the leading cause of deaths in Kyrgyzstan, with 53% of all deaths associated with them.
In this regard, Checheybaev emphasized that the country places great importance on combating cardiovascular diseases.
Currently, the Ministry of Health, together with the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after M. Mirrakhimov, has developed a program called "Healthy Heart," which has already received approval from President Sadyr Japarov. The program, approved by decree, will now be implemented as part of a five-year plan.

The questionnaire includes questions about factors such as blood pressure, height, weight, level of physical activity, and the presence of snoring. If the system determines the need to see a doctor, the user is provided with recommendations to visit a family doctor.
Checheybaev noted that such surveys allow people to better understand their health and recognize the need to consult specialists when risks are present, which, in turn, can help prevent strokes and heart attacks.
Additionally, the minister added that the program will focus on early diagnosis, improving the equipment of medical institutions with cardiological equipment, and training medical personnel.
