The capital's infrastructure will face serious challenges
In Bishkek, the construction of a residential complex is planned, which will include buildings 35 and 40 stories high. According to infrastructure expert Marat Musuraliev, such a large-scale project will pose a real challenge for the engineering and transportation systems of the capital, as he noted in a conversation with Vesti.kg.
“For example, even the already constructed 18-story buildings have faced serious problems with a lack of parking spaces. People are forced to leave their cars on lawns, over ditches, and even on playgrounds. Therefore, in large cities, there has long been a need to introduce regulations on the minimum number of parking spaces. It should be at least as many as there are apartments in each residential building,” he emphasized.
Similar requirements should apply to industrial, commercial, and other non-residential facilities.
“Moreover, it is extremely important to ensure the safety of such high-rise buildings. Law enforcement agencies should monitor this, as builders do not always comply with established standards,” Musuraliev added.
It should be noted that the new complex plans to build 10 buildings of 35 stories and 4 buildings of 40 stories, totaling 4,160 apartments. The underground parking will include three levels and will be able to accommodate 4,200 vehicles.
It is worth noting that not all residents purchase parking spaces along with their apartments. This creates difficulties for parking personal vehicles, including when emergency services need access.
