The ceremony of laying the capsule for the new residential complex "Altai" took place in Bishkek, attended by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
The "Altai" project covers an area of 234 hectares and involves the construction of 1,551 five-story residential buildings, which will house 34,004 apartments of various layouts. The total construction area will exceed 1 million 7 thousand square meters.
As part of the project, a full-fledged social infrastructure will be created for the convenience of residents. The complex will include schools, kindergartens, medical institutions, rehabilitation centers, as well as police stations and fire services. Additionally, a large park covering 50 hectares will be organized, along with modern sports and children's playgrounds.
The transport infrastructure includes nearly 86 kilometers of roads, 50 kilometers of sidewalks, and parking spaces for 34,500 vehicles.
During his speech, Japarov emphasized that the "Altai" project aims to meet the needs of the growing population of the capital for affordable and modern housing. According to the terms of the state contract, 10% of the total number of apartments, which amounts to 3,400 units, will be transferred to state ownership.
"Thus, we continue to work on the development of the capital and the regions of the country, creating conditions for improving the lives of our people," the president noted.
The head of state expressed hope that the new complex would make a significant contribution to the future of Bishkek, shaping a modern and prosperous city. He added that this project is the largest construction initiative in the region and will breathe new life into this place, creating a new cultural environment.
"Considering that more than 200,000 citizens need housing, such a large-scale project is a necessity of the time! Before we can talk about real development, we must meet the needs of our people and gain their support," Japarov emphasized.
At the end of the event, the president interacted with residents of the Pervomaisky district who were invited to the ceremony. During the discussion, important social issues were raised concerning educational infrastructure, living conditions, and problems with utilities and traffic.
Sadyr Japarov listened attentively to the citizens' opinions and instructed the relevant state authorities to carefully study their appeals and take the necessary measures.
