The Ministry of Labor of the Kyrgyz Republic reminded employers about quotas for people with disabilities

According to the specified article, organizations with 25 or more employees must allocate a certain number of jobs for people with disabilities, which amounts to at least 4% of the total number of employees. It is also permissible to provide jobs on a part-time basis.

For organizations with fewer employees, the following norms apply:

25-49 employees — at least 1 job;


50-74 — at least 2 jobs, of which 1 must be for a person with a disability of group I or II;


75-99 — at least 3 jobs, of which 1 must be for a person with a disability of group I or II;


100-124 — at least 4 jobs, of which 2 must be for persons with disabilities of group I or II;


125-149 — at least 5 jobs, of which 3 must be for persons with disabilities of group I or II;


150-174 — at least 6 jobs, of which 3 must be for persons with disabilities of group I or II;


175-199 — at least 7 jobs, of which 4 must be for persons with disabilities of group I or II;


200 or more employees — similar norms.

Employers are required to ensure the creation of comfortable working conditions, including the adaptation of workplaces (accessibility of buildings, technical equipment, training of employees, and other measures) for people with disabilities.

Failure to comply with the quotas is subject to fines: for individuals — 75 calculated indicators, for legal entities — 230 calculated indicators.

State and municipal authorities must:


adhere to the requirements for the quota of jobs for people with disabilities;


timely inform the authorized bodies about the availability of vacant positions;


provide quarterly reports on the fulfillment of quotas and adaptation of workplaces;


guarantee the procedure for employment and adaptation of workplaces.
