The driver was in a state of alcohol intoxication
According to the capital's Main Internal Affairs Directorate, the driver who hit a pedestrian on 7-April street was in a state of alcohol intoxication.
The incident occurred on April 27 at around 23:04, when R.M., born in 2004, driving a "Hyundai Sonata," struck pedestrian K.A., born in 1995, in front of the "Anel" restaurant.
After the incident, the driver left the scene of the accident.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
As a result of operational-search activities, law enforcement agencies were able to identify and detain the driver, who was taken to the Investigative Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 312 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The driver has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
Medical examination confirmed the presence of alcohol in the driver's blood.
