Police reported a second incident in a day
According to the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region, on January 2 at around 18:10, the owner of a Honda Stepwgn hit a pedestrian born in 1985 on 50th Anniversary of Kyrgyzstan Street. After that, he fled the scene of the accident without providing assistance to the victim.
As a result of investigative and search activities, the offender was located and handed over to the Internal Affairs Department of the Moscow district. The vehicle was impounded.
It is also worth noting that on the same day in Bishkek, another driver was detained who committed a fatal hit-and-run on a pedestrian and also left the scene of the incident.
