In the Sokuluk district, on the Bishkek–Kara-Balta highway, an incident occurred on December 27 at around 06:31 AM, in which the driver of a KamAZ truck managed to avoid a traffic accident involving a pedestrian.

According to eyewitness accounts, when the traffic light turned red at the turn into Shopokov, all vehicles stopped. However, a passenger car, having bypassed the stationary KamAZ, ran the red light while a pedestrian was crossing the road at the crosswalk.

The KamAZ driver, noticing that the situation had become dangerous, timely honked the horn. This allowed the pedestrian to stop and avoid a potential collision. Eyewitnesses also reported that after this, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passed through the intersection on a red light.

Currently, the circumstances of the incident are still being clarified.
