The Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region reports the initiation of an investigation into this matter.
According to the press service of the regional police, on November 23, M. A., a trusted person of Baktybek Sydykov, who has announced his candidacy for deputy, filed a statement. In it, he indicated that anonymous individuals are spreading false audio recordings on social media with the aim of discrediting the candidate, claiming that “for support and voting, voters are allegedly to be paid 2500 soms.” M. A. requested an investigation and the identification of those responsible.
“The materials of the case were registered in the electronic journal of the investigative department of the Nookensky ROVD, after which the necessary investigative actions began. During the investigation, neighborhood leaders, village heads, and other individuals associated with the elections were interviewed to identify those who posted the audio recording online,” the police noted.
However, based on the results of the investigation, no signs of a crime were found, and on November 24, a decision was made to refuse to initiate a criminal case,” the law enforcement agencies stated.
