The decision to deny Mirlan Nurbayev's registration as a candidate for deputy was made by the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums. The candidate represented electoral district No. 5.

According to information provided by the CEC, during the document verification process, it was revealed that Nurbayev had been actively involved in religious activities for a long time. He held positions as the director of the religious charitable foundation "Aravan Zeket" and as a representative of the "As-Safa" foundation.

Commission representatives emphasized that in accordance with part 4 of article 3 of the constitutional Law "On the elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh," individuals engaged in religious activities are not allowed to run for deputy for five years after ceasing their activities in this area.
