The Internal Affairs Department is verifying information that a candidate for the city council promised 100,000 soms for the installation of a transformer.

In the Osh region, law enforcement agencies are investigating information about a possible vote-buying by a candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh from electoral district No. 9.

Information has surfaced on social media that K.Y.K., who announced her candidacy for parliament, allegedly promised to allocate 100,000 soms for the installation of a transformer during her campaign. It is also reported that she left 50,000 soms in cash for voters.

According to the Internal Affairs Department, the information has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway.

So far, the Central Election Commission has received 29 applications for district No. 9, of which 21 candidates have been registered. The number of voters in this district is 122,779 people (city of Uzgen).

The district includes: the entire Savaysky and Intymaksky rural districts of the Kara-Suu region; as well as the Kyzyl-Oktyabrsky, Kurshabsky, Jalpak-Tashsky, Karoolsky, and Don-Bulaksky rural districts, as well as the city of Uzgen in the Uzgen region.
