It is worth noting that on November 13, the CEC satisfied the request of the investigative service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region regarding bringing Boobekov to criminal responsibility. He is suspected of bribing voters, which falls under part 2 of article 196 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigative authorities claim to have sufficient evidence of his involvement in these criminal activities.
The decision to remove his candidacy will be sent to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, as well as to Boobekov's authorized representative.
