On November 13, the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan reviewed a request received from the Investigation Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region regarding consent to bring a candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh to criminal responsibility.
The request was submitted on November 12, 2025, by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, which contained requests for consent to detain, arrest, or apply judicial measures against Boobekov Bakhtiyar Talasovich, a candidate from the multi-mandate electoral district No. 17.
The Investigation Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region is conducting an investigation into a criminal case initiated on November 12, 2025, concerning an offense falling under part 2 of article 196 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (bribery of voters).
The letter submitted to the Central Election Commission reports the collection of irrefutable evidence indicating Boobekov Bakhtiyar Talasovich's involvement in this crime during investigative and operational activities.
Based on the presented data, the Central Election Commission decided to grant the request for consent to criminal prosecution, detention, arrest, or application of judicial measures against Boobekov Bakhtiyar Talasovich, a candidate from the multi-mandate electoral district No. 17.
A copy of the decision will be sent both to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region and to the authorized representative of the candidate, N.A. Aydakeeva.
