According to available information, in October, a candidate for deputy in a single-mandate district, B.B., through his campaign manager M.Z., transferred 800,000 soms for the purchase of sports equipment (a special cauldron) with the aim of organizing a game of "Kok-boru."
These funds were handed over to entrepreneur N.R., who manufactured the necessary equipment. The sports supplies were delivered to the village of Sosnovka and handed over to the local youth.
The official statement says: "B.B. and his supporters attempted to illegally secure voter support."
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 196 of the Criminal Code, which provides for liability for voter bribery.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate also noted that the candidate and those involved in the case have been taken to investigative authorities. Based on the results of the investigation, a procedural decision will be made and a legal assessment provided.
The Central Election Commission issued permission on November 13 to bring the candidate to criminal responsibility.
