Monitoring of social media revealed that a citizen, T.I., posted an appeal to the authorities on his Facebook page, claiming the illegal detention of his relatives.
After verifying this information, it was established that it does not correspond to reality.
According to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, on March 14, a local resident born in 1988 filed a complaint with the Tokmok City Police Department regarding fraud in the purchase of a residential house. She stated that despite fully paying for the property, the ownership rights were never formalized.
A criminal case was opened on the grounds of "Fraud" under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of the investigation, two suspects were detained: a mother born in 1952 and her son born in 1977. The court imposed a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for the son, while the mother was placed under house arrest. The case has been transferred to the Tokmok City Court.
Additionally, investigative authorities identified other individuals who may be involved in this crime. A separate criminal case was opened against three citizens — T.S., D.M., and U.A. — under the same article. Two of them are in custody, while one of the suspects is receiving treatment in a medical facility.
Investigative activities are ongoing.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region urges citizens not to believe unreliable information and to obtain data only from official sources. The agency also noted that the dissemination of false information may entail legal responsibility under the law.
