Recently, a video surfaced on the internet showing an attempt to forcibly put a foreign citizen into a car at one of the bus stops in the Issyk-Kul region.
The law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation into this incident.
According to sources in the regional department of internal affairs, on December 24, 2025, a video was posted on social media showing the attempted forcible capture of a foreign citizen into a vehicle.
This information was recorded in the electronic register of the Issyk-Kul District Department of Internal Affairs, after which operational search activities began to identify those involved in the incident.
As a result of the investigation, a person was detained who, according to the recording, attempted to forcibly place the foreigner in the car. He turned out to be 32-year-old S.N., a resident of the city of Cholpon-Ata.
According to him, a citizen of Bangladesh, S.A., started working in a cafeteria owned by S.N. on December 14, 2025, and temporarily lived in his house.
According to testimonies, on December 23, S.A. received a salary of 12,800 soms; however, on the morning of December 24, without notifying the owner, he secretly took about 8 kilograms of beef and left the residence.
In this regard, S.N. decided to clarify the circumstances and went in search of the worker, finding him in the village of Chyrpykty. According to the police, after this, the foreign citizen hitchhiked towards Bishkek.
Currently, the relevant authorities have been tasked with locating the citizen of Bangladesh, S.A. The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be provided later.
