Employees of the Traffic Safety Department discovered a driver who was operating a vehicle from the back seat.
Recently, a video appeared on social media showing him demonstrating that the car was moving with the autopilot function activated while he was sitting in the back seat.
“Such behavior poses a serious threat both to the driver himself and to other road users,” the department noted. It is important to remember that autopilot is an auxiliary system designed to assist the driver, not to completely replace their driving responsibilities,” they added.
A protocol for an administrative offense was drawn up against the driver. He received a fine of 15,000 soms, and his car was placed in a towing lot. Additionally, a preventive conversation was held with him.
“It was established that the person behind the wheel was a teenager who decided to conduct an experiment using the autopilot function,” the Traffic Safety Department reported.
