An incident that occurred in one of the villages of the Issyk-Kul region was captured on camera and published on Instagram by user @alibek_19_93. The video shows one man trying to force another into a car while the latter resists and screams.

According to the video description, the events unfolded on the morning of December 24 at a bus stop. It later became clear that the recording featured a foreigner who had worked at a cafe in Cholpon-Ata for 16 days.

The foreigner claims that he was not paid his wages, and other workers, also foreigners, were in a similar situation. When they tried to leave the establishment, their passports and phones were taken away, effectively holding them against their will. One of the workers captured in the video could not take it anymore and ran away, leaving all his documents behind, while others continue to be in difficult conditions, unable to leave.

The Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region confirmed that an investigation began after the video appeared online. It was established that the man trying to force the foreigner into the car is a 32-year-old local resident named S. N.

S. N. informed the police that the second participant in the incident, a Bangladeshi citizen named S. A., worked at his cafe and lived in his house.

According to the cafe owner, on December 23, S. A. received a salary of 12,800 soms, and the next day he left without notice, taking about 8 kg of meat with him.

“I went to look for him by car and found him in the village of Chyrpykty. I demanded that he finish his work according to the contract and tried to take him with me. When that failed, he left, abandoning the meat and the foreigner,” said a representative of the Internal Affairs Department.

Currently, law enforcement agencies continue to search for the Bangladeshi citizen.
