The attack was captured on video
On the night of December 3 to 4, around 00:40 Bishkek time, an incident occurred at the corner of Manas Avenue and Bokonbaeva Street, during which two men brutally beat and tied up a third man. There were witnesses at the scene, including a local resident who filmed the incident on his phone. The recording quickly spread on social media.
The video also shows a police vehicle passing by, but the patrol did not intervene in the situation.
The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek reported that an internal investigation has been initiated regarding this incident. At the same time, police officers are working to identify all participants in the conflict.
“It is important to note that no one has approached the internal affairs authorities with a written statement, and no calls have been received on the 24-hour hotline regarding this matter,” the Main Internal Affairs Directorate stated.
