A service check is underway
The GUVK of Bishkek reports that it is verifying information related to an incident at the intersection of Manas and Bokonbaev streets. The event is connected to a fight during which an unknown man was beaten and tied up. A video of this incident has already appeared on social media.
“This fact was recorded in the Incident Record Journal of the First May District Police Department based on media publications. In this regard, a preliminary investigation has been initiated. Employees of the district department are carrying out measures aimed at establishing the whereabouts and identifying the individuals involved,” the police reported.
The GUVK added that at the moment, no one has approached the law enforcement agencies with written statements, and no calls have been received on the 24-hour hotline.
Additionally, information is being verified regarding a service vehicle of the UPSM passing by the scene of the incident.
“The Internal Investigations Service has initiated a service check. We will report the results later,” the agency stated.
