Kanatbek Chynybaev, appointed as the acting Minister of Emergency Situations, was confirmed in this role on March 10. The information service of the presidential administration reported this event.

Chynybaev was born on November 4, 1983, and holds the military rank of reserve lieutenant colonel. In 2006, he graduated from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov, and in 2018, from the Academy of Civil Defense of the Russian Federation. From 2006 to 2022, he served in various units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan. Since July 15, 2022, Chynybaev continued his work on a mission at the Situational Center of the presidential administration, remaining at the disposal of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the country. He has been awarded several medals.

It should be noted that earlier President Japarov dismissed Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, who held the position of Minister of Emergency Situations for only a month. The president's press secretary, Askhat Alagozov, explained that this decision was made in connection with information revealed by the General Prosecutor's Office regarding Shamyrkanov's previous involvement in receiving bribes.
