- During the meeting of the Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development, Deputy Minister of Finance Umutjan Amanbaev announced plans to allocate 130 million soms for a pilot project that will be implemented in Bishkek and the Chui region.

Deputy Dastanbek Jumabekov expressed interest in why the initiative only covers the specified regions and does not extend to the entire territory of the country.

In response, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mirbek Duyshiev clarified that the project is a pilot and, if successfully implemented, it is planned to expand it to other regions of Kyrgyzstan.

He also noted that Bishkek and the Chui region are experiencing serious problems with high meat prices, making these regions a priority for starting the project.

According to Mirbek Duyshiev, as part of the development of the meat cluster as a whole, it is planned to allocate about 1.5 billion soms for preferential loans with an interest rate of 3% per annum, which will be provided through state banks.

The goals of the project are to increase the supply of meat, reduce its prices, and support farmers through accessible financial mechanisms.
