In 2025, gold exports from Kyrgyzstan decreased almost fivefold (infographic)
Throughout 2025, the republic exported 6254.9 kg of precious metal, which brought in $682.9 million. Compared to 2024, the volume of shipments decreased by 4.9 times, while their value fell by 3.7 times. In 2024, exports amounted to 30561.8 kg worth $2.5 billion.
The average price of gold in 2025 was $109.2 million per ton, which is 33% higher than in 2024, when the price was $82 million per ton. The increase in prices is associated with the rise in global gold quotations.
Additionally, in 2025, the number of buyers significantly decreased. While in 2024 gold was sent to four countries, in 2025, 98% of all exports were accounted for by two states — Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
