According to the information from the agency, the gross volume of crop production showed a decline compared to 2024. The area where grain crops were harvested (excluding legumes, rice, and buckwheat) amounted to 605.9 thousand hectares. The total volume of grain harvested reached 1.8 million tons (after processing), which is 14.2% lower than in 2024.
There is also a deterioration in indicators for other categories:
- Cotton - a decrease of 49%;
- Tobacco - a decrease of 44%;
- Sugar beet - a reduction of 43%;
- Oilseeds - a decline of 11.7%;
- Legumes - a decrease of 3.6%;
- Potatoes - a reduction of 1.7%.
The decrease in the volume of grain harvesting is associated with a 15.3% drop in their yield. A similar trend is observed in sugar beet production: in 2024, the average yield was 710 centners per hectare, while by the end of 2025, it had decreased to 401.9 centners per hectare. The yield of tobacco also fell from 32.2 centners per hectare to 26.8 centners per hectare.
Despite the overall negative trends, some sectors recorded growth due to improved land productivity:
- Rice: the gross harvest increased by 17%, and the yield rose from 39 to 42.2 centners per hectare.
- Fruits and berries: production growth was 17.5%.
- Vegetables: the growth rate reached 11.3%.
- Corn for grain: production increased by 5.1%, and the average yield rose from 72.2 to 74.5 centners per hectare.
