The Housing Committee approved a bill aimed at including medicinal plants in the list of agricultural crops
The initiator of this draft law was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The information was presented by Mirbek Duyshiev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry.
In his speech, the reporter emphasized that this legislative proposal aims to establish a legal framework for the development, processing, and sustainable use of medicinal plants in the country.
It is proposed to add medicinal plants to the list of agricultural crops, which will allow them to be cultivated and grown on agricultural land. This will also help reduce pressure on wild populations of medicinal plants, preserve biodiversity, and ensure the long-term sustainability of natural resources.
