- In order for farmers in Kyrgyzstan to obtain the status of a breeding farm, they must meet a number of conditions, including a minimum number of livestock and contracts with professionals. This was reported by Myktybek Kalandarov, head of the department for the development of breeding livestock, on the radio.

He specified that in sheep farming, it is necessary to have at least 200 ewes, and in cattle breeding — no fewer than 30 cows to obtain this status.

All animals in a breeding farm must belong to the same breed, and mixing different breeds is not allowed, as Kalandarov noted.

Additionally, farming enterprises must be registered with the Ministry of Justice, have a unique name, and a charter that specifies the direction of their activities — breeding a specific breed.

Furthermore, each animal must have a veterinary passport and proof of its origin.

Kalandarov added that compliance with these requirements is related to the implementation of a preferential lending program for farmers, which allows them to obtain loans at 3% per annum for the purchase of breeding livestock.
