Results of laboratory tests for dangerous infectious diseases can be obtained within up to ten days, - Veterinary Service
Additionally, veterinarians are trained to identify new diseases that have not been previously registered in the country. One such disease is nodular dermatitis, which, as the specialist noted, has come from Kazakhstan.
“This disease manifests during the summer period and is transmitted through insect bites. Therefore, training veterinarians on this topic is of paramount importance,” explained Satkynov.
He also reminded livestock owners of the importance of timely consultation with veterinary specialists when there is suspicion of disease in animals.
Satkynov emphasized that according to established regulations, owners must inform the local veterinarian of any suspicions of disease without delay. The slaughter or sale of sick animals without the specialist's permission is prohibited.
After a consultation, the veterinarian conducts an examination, establishes a diagnosis, and prescribes appropriate treatment. If the disease poses no threat, the animal may be returned to the herd after therapy is completed.
In the case of dangerous infectious diseases, such as anthrax, forced slaughter is carried out, and the animal's carcass is disposed of by incineration. Pathological samples are sent to the laboratory for further investigation.
“Laboratory test results can be available within one day to ten days. If the owner decides to act independently without consulting a veterinarian, all responsibility falls on them,” added the specialist.
