At the phytosanitary control checkpoint "Kyzyl-Kiya," which is subordinate to the Batken Department of the Chemicalization, Protection, and Quarantine of Plants of the Ministry of Agriculture, 82,830 seedlings arriving from Uzbekistan were found without the necessary labeling on the packaging.

According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated November 30, 2016, No. 157, each package of quarantine products must contain labeling that indicates the name of the product, the country of origin, as well as the exporting or re-exporting country.

The import of goods without the appropriate labeling violates the unified phytosanitary quarantine standards of the Eurasian Economic Union. In this regard, the cargo was returned to the country of import, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
